Meet The “BEAR”– Jim and his wife Melba McCollum, fondly known as the Bear McCollum family, moved to Clayton, NM in the 80’s to manage 1450 AM KLMX. Jimmy became the owner and created 97.5 FM- THE BEAR in 2014, a lifelong dream of his. Jim Bear McCollum passed in 2020 leaving his wife Melba the business now totaling 2 radio stations heard on 3 tuners: 97.5 FM The Bear, 104.5 FM and 1450 AM Crossroads Christian Radio.
