Good morning! I am DJ Shi-Vibes and welcome to my page! My awesome friend D-Jozzy and I host the Awaken AM show on 97.5 FM the Bear Monday through Friday from 7am-11am where we all rock out together! Here on my page, you can find a daily scripture to start off the morning, music history, movie or music clips that mix in with our morning show for the day, crazy facts, silly things that we find on the internet to have a good laugh, and maybe a picture of our best buddy Lacey here or there. 4/25/2024 Good morning, everyone! I hope everyone is having an absolutely wonderful day this beautiful morning, it really feels like Spring! For those of you tuning into the Awaken Am Show on 97.5 FM The Bear earlier this morning to start of our nostalgic 90’s we had some Daily Rock History featuring one of my favorite movies of all time, “Romy and Michele’s High School Reunion”! And, in fact on this day in 1997, Touchstone Pictures released the film “Romy and Michele’s High School Reunion” and this movie is a really fun comedy/drama where then years after their high school graduation Romy and Michele hear about their upcoming high school reunion and so they take this as an opportunity to show their classmates how much they’ve changed by first trying to reform themselves and then my creating a lie that eventually spins out of control. Not only does “Romy and Michele’s High School Reunion” have a great plot but it also has one of the greatest 80’s song soundtracks of all time! Down below, I could not find the actual album on YouTube but there will be a couple other songs which featured in the film but did not appear on the soundtrack due to copy right issues such as “Just a Girl” by No Doubt and “Time After Time” by Cyndi Lauper. Oh, I’m also going to drop a clip or two from this great movie! Thank you guys and I hope you all have a great rest of your day!

4/23/2024 Good morning, everyone! I hope everyone is having a wonderful day filled with much love and joy. Today is April 23, 2024, and so we are not officially one week away from the last day of April, wow is time flying by. Well, on this beautiful morning where the sky is blue, the grass is green, the sun is shining, and the birds are singing I want to start of this morning with hope and peace with a verse of the day. Today’s beautiful verse is John 14:27 which says, “Peace I leave with you; My peace I give to you. Not as the world gives do I give to you. 4/19/2024 Good morning, everybody! I hope everyone is having a wonderfully blessed day this morning and keeping warm! It is finally Friday; I hope everyone has a great weekend as well! Actually, today I am sort of in a silly mood and in our Nostalgic 90’s Mix this morning we had “Wannabe” by the Spice Girls, and I was remembering a scene from one of my favorite movies growing up. I used to absolutely love the 2005 film “Chicken Little” and there is a scene where the pig, Runt, and the duck, Abby, as well as the fish, actually named Fish are doing karaoke to this song so I thought that I would share that clip with you all today so share a bit of laughter and nostalgia.

4/15/2024 Good morning, I hope everyone is having a very wonderfully blessed day! Here at the Radio Station we were choosing out songs for tomorrow’s Seriously Sick 70’s mix and I heard, “My Sharona” by The Knack and immediately I remembered a commercial that I used to see play on TV and I thought it was the silliest thing ever in the best way possible! I thought that I would share this memory with you guys and so below we have “My Sharona” by The Knack and “My Pepperona” by Alex Meixner!

3/29/2024 Good morning, everyone! I hope you all are having an amazingly blessed day and have been enjoying the mix on the Awaken Am Show so far! I just wanted to share this scripture from the Word that brings such encouragement. Today the verse of the day is from Psalm 121:1-2 NKJV which says, “I look up to the mountains; does my strength come from the mountains? No, my strength comes from God, who made heaven, and earth, and the mountains.” Amen, our strength comes from God who made heaven, and earth, and the mountains and that is just so so awesome! I hope you all have a blessed weekend!

Earlier this morning on our Awaken AM Show on 97.5 FM the Bear we had announced that today is Elton John’s birthday! 🥳🎂”Happy Birthday Elton John!!!”🎂🥳 This unique, talented piano player, and one of the best showmen and song composers of all time was born as Reginald Kenneth Dwight in London, England on March 25, 1947! This morning, we played Elton John’s US #1 single “Bennie and the Jets” as well as “Honky Cat” and in case you missed it this morning I’ll drop the YouTube links down below! Personally, my favorites of Elton John are “I’m Still Standing”, “Tiny Dancer”, and “Rocket man” while D-Jozzy’s favorites are “Bennie and the Jets” and “Honky Cat”! 3/18/2024 Good morning, everybody! This is DJ Shi Vibe and I just wanted to start off this morning with a verse of the day! Today’s verse is Psalm 23:1-2 NIV, “The LORD is my shepherd; I shall lack nothing. He makes me lie down in green pastures, He leads me beside quite waters.” and this verse brings me comfort in knowing that my God is the One who protects me and guides me. I am not a perfect person; I don’t always know what to do and I often need help and guidance. In this verse or even this chapter of Psalm I find rest in knowing that I can trust my Lord as my good shepherd who cares for His sheep. But anyway, thank you guys and I hope you all stay warm and have an awesomely blessed day! 😊🌄🌨️
